A beautiful woman . . .
Mackenzie Thorne appears to have it all: beauty, fame, fortune, and a magical family that always has her back. As one of the powerful Thornes, she's revered in the witch community. So what's missing? Love. For that one thing eluding her, she would gladly trade all she has.
A lonely man . . .
Loneliness has plagued Sebastian Drake for decades, but everything changes when the incomparable Mackenzie enters into his orbit. No one is more surprised or thrilled than he is when she agrees to spend the weekend with his family at their country estate.
An evil possession . . .
Romance is in the air at the Drake estate, but so is the spirit of a dangerous enchantress. Awakened after nearly two hundred years in a marble prison, Isolde de Thorne has decided Mackenzie is the perfect vessel for her needs.

Cromer’s diverting but uneven 10th Thorne Witches romance (after Moonlit Magic) opens with Mackenzie Thorne dismissing acquaintance Sebastian Drake as a playboy. This conviction only lasts a few pages, however, before Mackenzie has a psychic vision of their future steamy lovemaking and winds up smitten. She agrees to join him at his family mansion for a romantic weekend getaway—and there she has far more concerning visions of a powerful sorceress who threatens both Mackenzie and all of magic. Sebastian, being in love with Mackenzie already, vows to protect her as together they set out to stop the threat. Though the magic is fascinating and the dialogue frequently funny, the characters’ personalities all feel a bit inconsistent. Mackenzie goes from being headstrong and powerful to unsure and head over heels unbelievably quickly, and Sebastian is too underdeveloped to be a worthy love interest. The mystical aunts who float around Sebastian’s estate add charm, and even occasionally prove more appealing than the love story itself. Still, this will be total popcorn entertainment for paranormal romance fans.
