What no one knows is that Nora is the biracial daughter of a Caribbean woman and a long-gone white father. Adopted—and abused—by her mother's employer, then sent to an exclusive boarding school to buy her silence, Nora found that "passing" as a white woman could give her everything she never had.
Now, an ex-classmate who Nora betrayed many years ago has returned to her life to even the score. Her machinations are turning Nora's privilege into one gilded trap after another. Running out of choices, Nora must decide how far she will go to protect a lie or give up and finally face the truth. Praise for Have You Met Nora?

Nora Mackenzie, a socialite and personal-fashion stylist, is set to marry into one of the most powerful and wealthy New York City families. But Nora has a big secret. With her wedding only days away, a former classmate whom Nora betrayed years ago shows up and wants to get even. With a big name to uphold and an even bigger secret to keep, Nora must decide how far she will go to protect the truth. Blades (The Thunder beneath Us, 2016) blends mystery, scandal, and intrigue. Jumping back and forth in time at the beginning of the novel may leave readers craving alternating chapters throughout the book. However, Blades gives just enough early background information to satisfy interest before moving into the present for the remainder of the story. Nora's wedding jitters, which are masking her true feelings, can get repetitive, until her ex-classmate Dawn enters. Readers are encouraged to stick with the story for an unsuspected and somewhat uncharacteristic twist at the end.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2017, American Library Association.)
