Jeff Harding returns to perform the 19th audiobook in John Connolly's Charlie Parker series. With pitch-perfect tone, Harding brings to life the central figures, Louis and his partner, Angel. Louis travels to Amsterdam to avenge the brutal murders of a former associate and his family, which were perpetrated by violent Serbian gang members. This story brings back familiar characters, is fast paced, laced with sarcastic humor, touches on the supernatural, and includes gruesome violence. Harding succeeds in creating voices for the many characters from different countries. Listeners, however, could benefit from a directory as Harding is strong at voicing male characters but less so at females.
