Lucky Hart, the protagonist of this endearing rom-com from Kann (The Romantic Agenda), has spent her life mostly alone, misunderstood, and considered “the weird girl.” She’s estranged from her family and judged by everyone she’s ever tried to have a relationship with, both because of her ESP and because of her asexuality. When she applies for a role as “The Caretaker” in an upcoming paranormal investigative TV show, she’s excited for the chance to live in the notoriously haunted Hennessee House and find out its secrets. What she didn’t expect is for the small crew to accept and embrace her for who she is, becoming real friends and surrogate family. She’s especially drawn to star ghost hunter Maverick Phillips but worries their romance could clash with her paranormal investigation. Meanwhile, the sentient house is lonely, moody, and wants Lucky all to itself. As Lucky comes into her strength with the support of newfound friends, will she be able to balance her romantic life with her interest in the supernatural?
