In the latest book in the Charlotte "Charlie" Stone paranormal romance series, Charlie must save her unearthly lover, a convicted killer, from eternal death by proving he's innocent all the while investigating a suspicious stranger and avoiding being killed herself. Narrator Ann Marie Lee is a smooth fit for Charlie's unique world. She uses a variety of voices, giving Charlie a demure, sometimes unsure tone and her ghostly lover, a raspy, dark voice. Her narration is both precise and effortless sounding while the voices she assigns to each character complement each other. Lee's superb effort adds to the mystery and fun of this series.
